This competition aims to inspire students to look critically at their environments to identify, analyze and implement initiatives to sustain the world’s energy industry. Using acquired skills and knowledge, the students across the Brooklyn and Manhattan campuses will have the opportunity to collaborate on major research and development projects. Participants will also learn to connect seemingly disconnected ideas and disciplines to propose new and improved solutions to today’s energy challenges.
Participants will use their ingenuity and originality to creatively design solutions for new and recurring challenges in the energy industry. In order to ensure creation of a cleaner and more sustainable energy environment, innovation of design is one of the primary judgment objectives of the competition.
This challenge hopes to facilitate the birth of innovative ideas by students of the University.
Aside from giving students the opportunity to network with companies and professionals, this Challenge will allow them to:
- Interact with potential employers and partners in industry
- Learn to create and achieve a common goal as one cohesive unit
- Market their product and ideas in a business environment
About Our Organization
AABE at NYU serves as a resource for policy discussion of the economic, social and political impact of environmental and energy policies. We serve to ensure the involvement of of our community in governmental energy policymaking by recommending capable sensitive and informed personnel to appropriate officials.
